Export Logistics

About Export Logistics

Exporting goods successfully requires more than moving cargo from a factory to a border or seaport. It depends on efficient coordination between cargo preparation, customs procedures, container management, inland transportation, and international shipping.

APRIN Dry Port (ADP) supports this process by providing integrated export logistics services from a single inland location near Tehran. As one of Iran’s leading Integrated Logistics Hubs, APRIN enables exporters to consolidate cargo, complete customs formalities, prepare containers, and transport shipments through rail, road, or sea port connections, creating a more efficient and coordinated export supply chain.

Connecting Iranian Industries with Global Markets

Located southwest of Tehran, APRIN provides direct access to Iran’s largest industrial regions and manufacturing centers. Its strategic location allows export cargo to move efficiently from production facilities to international gateways without unnecessary handling or multiple transfer points.

By integrating logistics operations, customs services, container facilities, and multimodal transportation within one location, APRIN helps exporters improve shipment planning, reduce inland logistics complexity, and maintain greater visibility throughout the export process.

Multimodal Export Connections

APRIN connects Iranian export cargo with regional and international markets through an integrated network of rail, road, and sea port transportation.

Through Iran’s national railway network, export shipments can move efficiently toward northern border gateways and international rail corridors serving Eurasian markets, while dedicated rail services also provide direct connections to Shahid Rajaee Port, enabling containers to continue their journey by ocean freight.

For regional trade, APRIN is connected to Iran’s highway network, allowing cargo to move efficiently toward neighboring markets through the country’s major border crossings. At the same time, export shipments destined for overseas markets can be transferred by rail or road to Iran’s principal sea ports, including Shahid Rajaee Port, Bandar Imam Port, Chabahar Port, and the country’s Caspian Sea ports, providing flexible access to global shipping routes.

This multimodal connectivity enables exporters to select the most suitable transport solution based on destination, cargo type, transit time, and commercial requirements.

Export Logistics Services

APRIN provides a comprehensive range of export logistics services designed to simplify cargo preparation and improve operational efficiency before international shipment. Services include container consolidation, customs processing, container handling, warehousing, rail transportation to sea ports, inland trucking, reefer container support, cargo inspection, bonded storage, and export documentation, allowing exporters to manage the inland stage of the supply chain through one integrated logistics hub.

Customs Processing and Cargo Preparation

Preparing export cargo requires close coordination between exporters, customs authorities, logistics providers, and transport operators.

APRIN offers dedicated customs facilities where export documentation, inspections, and customs processing can be completed before cargo leaves the inland terminal. Containers can be consolidated, loaded, inspected, sealed, and prepared for rail or road transportation, allowing export operations to move forward with fewer delays and greater operational control.

Infrastructure Supporting Export Operations

APRIN has been developed to support high-volume export logistics through modern rail infrastructure and cargo handling facilities.

Phase I includes an annual handling capacity of 200,000 TEU, seven dedicated rail tracks, direct access to Iran’s national railway network, 9,000 sqm of general warehousing, 1,800 sqm of covered warehouse space, 2,600 sqm of temperature-controlled cold storage, 120 reefer plugs, container handling yards, and customs-controlled operational areas.

These facilities enable exporters to consolidate cargo, prepare shipments, and dispatch containers efficiently toward international rail corridors or Iran’s major sea ports.

Supporting Iran’s Export Supply Chain

Whether export cargo is moving toward regional markets by road, international rail corridors across Eurasia, or global destinations through Iran’s sea ports, APRIN provides the infrastructure, operational expertise, and integrated logistics services required to support every stage of the inland export process.

By combining container consolidation, customs processing, rail transportation to sea ports, and value-added logistics services within one Integrated Logistics Hub, APRIN helps businesses connect Iranian products with international markets through a more efficient, reliable, and coordinated export supply chain.
