First Scheduled Freight Train from Russia Arrives at APRIN Dry Port.

The first scheduled freight train from Russia has successfully arrived at APRIN Dry Port (ADP), marking another milestone in the development of international rail transportation to Iran’s largest inland logistics hub.

The train, carrying 62 forty-foot containers, departed from northern Moscow, Russia, and traveled through Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan before entering Iran via the Incheh Borun border crossing.

This follows the arrival of the first direct freight train from China to APRIN Dry Port in June 2025, further strengthening APRIN’s role as a key gateway for international rail freight.

Strategically located along the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC), APRIN Dry Port is creating new opportunities for reliable and sustainable trade connectivity between Asian and European markets.
